REPORT ON THE FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH ORGANIZED BY LIWOCARE ABUJA

(AN ARM OF LIVING WORD MINISTRIES INC. ABUJA REGION) HELD AT 1ST AVENUE, GWARIMPA

(CHURCH PREMISES) ON 25TH OCTOBER, 2014.

The outreach began by 7am with registration and health talk by Sis. Florence Mbogu. A total of 137 persons were registered. Services provided during the outreach include:

EYE SCREENING AND DISTRUBUTION OF EYE DRUGS AND GLASSES.

BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING/ EXAMINATION HANDLED BY MARIE STOPES INT’L NIG.

GENERAL MEDICAL EXAMINATION AND DISTRUBUTION OF DRUGS

LABORATORY TEST SUCH AS HIV AND BLOOD SUGAR.

The outreach was a success and those who God used to do this include:

14  LIWOCARE MEMBERS.

A total of N428, 370 was contributed by 23 persons both Liwocare members and other church members while the total amount spent on the outreach was N417, 230. During the counselling section, a lady- Mrs ijeoma Bob-Arinze who came from kuje Area Council was discovered to have need for material support and 2 counsellor : Sis Ngozi Alichi and Sis. Nene Uzuegbu contributed N3, 000 and Barrister Ekwekwo contributed N3, 000 which was used to buy food stuff worth N5, 000 and transport fare worth N1, 000.  The Outreach ended at 3.45pm.
